Musi-Wall is a custom-designed interactive musical wall panel for playgrounds, schools, and public spaces. Each panel combines injection-moulded ABS components with integrated percussion elements, creating durable outdoor musical instruments that encourage creative play and sensory development.
Design & Engineering
The modular panel system consists of injection-moulded ABS frames, stainless steel percussion bars (tuned to pentatonic scale), and TPE striking surfaces. The design withstands outdoor exposure (UV, rain, frost cycles) while maintaining musical tuning accuracy over 10+ years.
Material Selection
Frame: ASA (UV-stabilised ABS alternative) for outdoor colour stability. Sound elements: 316L stainless steel for corrosion resistance and tonal quality. Mallets: PP body with TPE head for safe, consistent striking. All materials meet EN 1176 playground safety standards.
Manufacturing
ABS/ASA frames are injection moulded on our 250-ton press. Steel elements are laser-cut and CNC-tuned to specific frequencies. Assembly combines mechanical fastening (tamper-proof stainless hardware) with vibration-isolating rubber mounts to optimise sound transmission.
Safety & Standards
EN 1176 (playground equipment safety) certified. No entrapment hazards (finger, head, limb). No sharp edges. Impact-tested per EN 1177. Vandal-resistant fastening system. All materials RoHS and REACH compliant.
