Plastic Tap Manufacturing

We produce injection moulded plastic taps and valves for water dispensers, industrial fluid handling, and beverage equipment. Multi-component moulds produce the body, handle, and sealing elements in a single production cell, minimising assembly costs and ensuring consistent seal performance.

Material Selection

Tap bodies are moulded in POM (acetal) for its low friction, excellent dimensional stability, and chemical resistance. Seals are overmoulded in EPDM or silicone for long-term sealing performance. Handle components in ABS or PP with optional soft-touch TPE overmoulding.

Multi-Component Production

A single automated cell moulds the body, inserts the seal, assembles the handle, and tests flow rate and leak integrity. This vertical integration reduces cost by 40% versus sourcing individual components and assembling externally.

Quality & Testing

Every tap undergoes 100% leak testing at 3 bar, flow rate measurement, and actuation torque verification. Accelerated life testing simulates 50,000 on/off cycles. ISO 9001:2015 certified. Drinking water contact certification per ACS (France) and KTW (Germany) available.

Applications

Water coolers, beverage dispensers, industrial chemical containers, agricultural irrigation, laboratory equipment, and aquarium fittings.

Frequently Asked Questions

What flow rates can plastic taps achieve?

Standard quarter-turn taps: 2-8 litres/minute at 0.5 bar. High-flow industrial variants: up to 30 litres/minute. Custom flow profiles achievable through orifice geometry modification.

Are plastic taps suitable for hot water?

POM taps are rated to 80°C continuous. For higher temperatures (up to 120°C), we use PSU (polysulfone) or PPSU body materials with silicone seals.
